Guest Lecturers and Teachers

Linda Morris- and her husband are new to Living History, but are a welcomed addition to our group.  She brought her homemade preserves and pickles in 2015, and is planning on bringing them again, this year.
Linda does sewing, crochet, knitting and quilting and canning.  She learned Shirret Crochet (aka shirred rugs or shirren) after her Texan husband showed her a wool rug his mother made.  They live on her husband's farm outside Santa Anna,Tx.

Jim Boehjle  and his wife, Shiffra, do living history in New Mexico with Jo Pope.  Jim's historical interpretation is that of a Military Chaplain, and he will lead our Sunday morning devotional.  .
The Boehjles have been doing living history since 1970's, through the midwest and now in Arizona and New Mexico.

Julia Robb is one of the Keynote speakers for 2016.  The daughter of a Methodist Minister, she grew up in a variety of towns all over Texas.  
She spent 20 years as a journalist, before settling in her father's home town of Marshall, Tx where she has written three historical novels set in the American west.
She will have copies of her newest novel: The Captive Boy availble to purchase, and her to sign.

Bill Guffey is another Keynote Speaker for 2016.  He is the Ranger for the Texas State Longhorn Herd that is kept in the Fort Griffin area.
